چکیده
Abstract We consider the MHD system in a bounded domain Ω ⊂ ℝ N , = 2; 3, with Dirichlet boundary conditions. Using Dan Henry’s semigroup approach and Giga–Miyakawa estimates we construct global time, unique solutions to fractional approximations of base space ( L 2 (Ω )) × . Solutions are obtained next as limits that approximations.

Evolution semi-linear hyperbolic equations in a bounded domain
In this article, our goal is to prove the existence and uniqueness of solution for 1D and 2D semi-linear hyperbolic equations in a bounded domain with a monotone nonlinear term. We use elliptic regularization and a finite difference scheme in time to build the approximate solutions for the semi-linear hyperbolic equations, and we utilize the regularization method together with the monotonicity ...
متن کاملAnisotropic Navier-Stokes equations in a bounded cylindrical domain
Navier-Stokes equations with anisotropic viscosity are classical in geophysical fluid dynamics. Instead of choosing a classical viscosity −ν(∂ 1 + ∂ 2 2 + ∂ 2 3) in the case of three-dimensional fluids, meteorologists often modelize turbulent flows by putting a viscosity of the form −νh(∂ 2 1 + ∂ 2 2) − νv∂ 2 3 , where νv is usually much smaller than νh and thus can be neglected (see Chapter 4 ...
متن کاملEXISTENCE OF A STEADY FLOW WITH A BOUNDED VORTEX IN AN UNBOUNDED DOMAIN
We prove the existence of steady 2-dimensional flows, containing a bounded vortex, and approaching a uniform flow at infinity. The data prescribed is the rearrangement class of the vorticity field. The corresponding stream function satisfies a semilinear elliptic partial differential equation. The result is proved by maximizing the kinetic energy over all flows whose vorticity fields are rearra...
متن کاملStrongly nonlinear multivalued elliptic equations on a bounded domain
In this work we study the existence of nontrivial solution for the following class of multivalued quasilinear problems −div(φ(|∇u|)∇u)− b(u)u ∈ λ∂F (x, u) in Ω, u = 0 on ∂Ω where Ω ⊂ R is a bounded domain, N ≥ 2 and ∂F (x, u) is a generalized gradient of F (x, t) with respect to t. The main tools utilized are Variational Methods for Locally Lipschitz Functional and a Concentration Compactness T...

Solutions of the d-dimensional generalized MHD (GMHD) equations @tu þ u ru 1⁄4 rP þ b rb nð DÞu; @tb þ u rb 1⁄4 b ru Zð DÞb ( are studied in this paper. We pay special attention to the impact of the parameters n; Z; a and b on the regularity of solutions. Our investigation is divided into three major cases: (1) n40 and Z40; (2) n 1⁄4 0 and Z40; and (3) n 1⁄4 0 and Z 1⁄4 0:When n40 and Z40; the ...
